Manage company exclusions and blocked relationships

Know the difference between passing on a deal and blocking a company.

Know the difference between passing on a deal and blocking a company.

Before you start

Identify the particular deal, company, or unwanted contact.

Steps

  1. For an opportunity you simply do not want to pursue, use Pass on Deal in the buyside workflow.

  2. If the issue concerns a relationship rather than one deal, record the relevant company and project details.

  3. Use Report a Concern where available for problematic behavior, or contact Dealflow support for guidance.

  4. Explain the outcome you want without assuming that a report or pass action automatically blocks future contact.

What happens next

You have used an existing action or requested help. A member-facing company-exclusion or relationship-blocking control is not currently verified and is not promised by this guide.

Common problems

Passing does not itself disable Messages or exclude all future deals from that company. Do not change unrelated sourcing criteria as a substitute for resolving harassment or a confidentiality concern.
