Switch between buying, investing, selling, and raising

Use separate project types for acquiring, providing capital, selling, and raising.

Use separate project types for acquiring, providing capital, selling, and raising.

Before you start

Decide which side of the proposed transaction your company represents.

Steps

  1. Use a buyside project when buying a business or providing investment or lending capital.

  2. Use a sellside project when selling a business or raising capital for a company.

  3. Create a separate project for a materially different mandate rather than changing an existing deal's meaning mid-discussion.

  4. If the needed project path is unavailable, ask support about your account and intended activity.

What happens next

The chosen project type determines the applicable criteria and workflows. You do not need to assume there is one universal objective-toggle screen.

Common problems

An account objective, company classification, and project type are different concepts. Changing a descriptive label does not transfer projects or bypass approval.
