What to do when the CIM is not available

Check document readiness and access before following up about a missing CIM.

Check document readiness and access before following up about a missing CIM.

Before you start

Open the existing deal rather than creating another request.

Steps

  1. Read the document status. “CIM is being prepared” means the seller has not yet made the materials ready.

  2. Check whether your NDA process is complete, including the executed-PDF upload for a custom NDA.

  3. Look in Messages and Files for a release message or document link.

  4. If nothing is available, message the seller to ask whether materials are ready and whether manual release is still needed.

What happens next

You can distinguish a missing document from an incomplete signing or release step. Dealflow allows sellers to submit while preparing their CIM.

Common problems

Signing does not guarantee immediate delivery when manual sharing is selected. An external document link may have its own access requirements; ask the seller to check the link instead of repeatedly signing or requesting access.
